About the role#
The Museum Editorial Intern supports the Content Strategy team at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. This role focuses on developing narrative and interpretive strategies for exhibitions and brand campaigns. You will gain hands-on experience in museum operations while contributing to the research, planning, and creation of communication tools that help guests engage with art.
What you'll do#
- Assist the content strategy team in creating interpretive elements for exhibitions.
- Conduct research on artists and art objects using library and online resources.
- Write and edit copy for various projects, including blog posts.
- Participate in creative brainstorming and project meetings with curators and interpretive staff.
- Assist in conducting visitor evaluation and data collection.
- Support the review of copy for programming blurbs and event descriptions.
What you'll need#
- Excellent writing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to be dependable and punctual.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality of all non-public museum information.
- Candidates must be enrolled in or have graduated from an accredited bachelor's or master's program within the last three years.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
Location & details#
- Location: Bentonville, Arkansas.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 21 to December 12).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Undergraduate interns earn $13.00 per hour, and graduate interns earn $14.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Undergraduate students may work up to 20 hours per week; graduate students may work up to 25 hours per week.
