About the role#
This internship provides graduate students with professional experience in a museum setting. Reporting to the Windgate Curator of Craft, you will support exhibition development, object research, and interpretive writing. You will apply your academic training to help bring projects to life while focusing on the museum's American craft collection.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain object files for collection pieces, including works in ceramics, wood, fiber, glass, and metal.
- Conduct research on potential acquisitions to support the growth of the museum's American craft holdings.
- Assist with exhibition development, including research, interpretation, and checklist organization.
- Fact-check information and write content related to collection objects.
- Prepare presentations for both internal and external audiences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville MA program in Art History.
- A specific interest in American craft, ranging from historical to contemporary works.
- Demonstrated research and writing skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

- Location: Bentonville, Arkansas
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 21 to December 12)
- Schedule: Up to 25 hours per week, arranged with your supervisor
