About the role#
As a Third Party Risk Intern in our Consulting Practice, you will help clients identify and manage cybersecurity risks within their vendor populations. You will work directly with clients and their third parties to understand data flows, network architecture, and cloud configurations. This role involves identifying potential risks to client data and services while recommending practical steps for remediation.
What you'll do#
- Analyze third-party cybersecurity programs.
- Implement systems to automate third-party management.
- Assess the overall cybersecurity posture of vendors.
- Monitor cybersecurity incidents.
- Conduct technology risk assessments and perform due diligence on third-party relationships.
- Assess cloud technologies, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS deployments.
- Design processes to better categorize and identify third-party risk.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor or master degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong communication skills for consulting with senior management and client personnel.
- Ability to think critically and solve complex problems in a systematic, analytical fashion.
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn in a demanding environment.
- CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred.
