About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to experience data science within an enterprise setting. You will work on a specific project overseen by a designated mentor, with the goal of producing functional progress that integrates into the team's portfolio. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a mentor to define success criteria and prioritize your project tasks.
- Own the completion of specific work items throughout the internship.
- Engage in the full data science lifecycle, from research and development to deployment and support.
- Apply deep neural networks for anomaly detection.
- Use numerical optimization to solve manufacturing problems.
- Detect PII and PHI in natural language.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team development processes.
- Present your work to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Follow change management controls to ensure risk and compliance standards.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Ability to frame business problems as data science tasks.
- Proficiency in writing high-quality, modular Python code.
- Experience with Linux, terminal tools, and source control like Git.
- Understanding of containerization and deployment technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of model selection and training procedures.
- Ability to create effective test scenarios and diagnostic measures.
