About the role#
Crow Holdings Renewables is hiring a Project Finance and Policy Intern to support the Structured Finance team. This role focuses on project financing and underwriting for Community Solar, Battery Energy Storage, and Distributed Compute projects. You will help manage project pipelines, maintain financial models, and track state renewable energy policies including legislation, tax incentives, and utility commission proceedings.
What you'll do#
- Support senior team members in evaluating and executing tax equity, debt, and preferred equity financings through due diligence and financial modeling.
- Build executive-ready presentations, business cases, and briefing materials to communicate complex data to leadership.
- Research market trends and evaluate third-party data to inform internal stakeholders.
- Create briefings on specific markets covering utility planning, load growth, and local policy.
- Participate in industry and stakeholder working groups to synthesize insights for development teams.
- Prepare analyses for strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Perform quantitative analysis on market data, including pricing trends and interconnection queues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Civil Engineering, Energy Systems, Urban Planning, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external interactions.
- Enthusiasm for the renewable energy industry.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work as a self-motivated learner who manages multiple priorities.
