About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the wholesale building materials industry. You will work across construction sites, quarries, mines, and production facilities. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Gain direct experience at production facilities, mines, and construction sites.
- Analyze data and develop process strategies for capital projects.
- Take ownership of tasks that impact the business.
- Collaborate with teams to meet shared goals.
- Develop skills in project profitability, scheduling, billing, and accounts receivable.
- Learn safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Create and present a capstone project to executive leadership.
- Support the company safety culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited trade school, college, or university in good academic standing.
- Majors in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.
- A valid driver license, with possible endorsements.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 100 lbs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to juggle multiple assignments.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the use of required PPE.
