About the role#
This is a construction management and CET internship based in Idaho Falls, Idaho. You will support estimators, project managers, and supervisors on projects located within Yellowstone National Park. This position requires you to live on-site at a remote location within the park boundaries to assist the management team.
What you'll do#
- Assist with permit acquisition and maintenance.
- Enter daily production data and maintain project schedules.
- Distribute documents to the field and add phases as requested by superintendents.
- Attend project meetings including pre-construction, hand-offs, cost reviews, and progress updates.
- Verify aggregate pricing, quantities, and coding.
- Process change orders and time and material work tickets.
- Support the estimating team with RFI logs, submittals, and supplier quotes.
- Champion company safety programs and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Provide training certifications to customers.
- Manage assigned projects and maintain the estimating bidding log.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Up to 5 years of construction experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write correspondence and instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics, including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Ability to interpret bar graphs.
- Knowledge of database software and accurate keyboarding skills.
- Ability to present information effectively in small group settings.
