About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Candler, North Carolina. You will gain hands-on experience in asphalt plant operations and construction site management while working with our teams on-site.
What you'll do#
- Support Plant Operators with daily asphalt plant tasks.
- Collaborate with the yard crew and loader operator.
- Learn to operate scales and assist with general plant maintenance.
- Join construction and prep crews to gain field experience.
- Work alongside foremen to learn job preparation and site setup.
- Study the use and operation of various construction equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Associate degree program in Construction Management or Operations Management.
- Two to four years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary.
- Strict adherence to all safety requirements and company policies.
