Product Development Associate (January - May) 2027 Engineering Co-op

About the role#

This is a full-time, paid engineering co-op position based in a hands-on laboratory environment. You will work alongside professional staff on government projects, gaining experience that mirrors the responsibilities typically assigned to college graduates. The role focuses on applied research and development within a multi-disciplinary team, fostering an innovative and entrepreneurial corporate culture.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists.
• Solve complex engineering challenges on a regular basis.
• Participate in hands-on product development, including design, prototyping, and testing.
• Receive mentorship from professional staff to support your career development.
• Engage in an environment that encourages creativity and the development of new technology solutions.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a qualified engineering program, including Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Biomedical, or Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Exclusive US citizenship.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Self-motivation combined with a team-oriented mentality.
• Willingness and ability to quickly develop an understanding of new technology areas.

• Compensation: $23–$29 per hour, depending on experience.
