About the role#
Credit Union West is hiring an intern for the Payments department. This is a paid, part-time position based in Glendale, Arizona. You will work 20 hours per week during the Fall 2026 term, specifically from October 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. This role offers hands-on experience in financial operations and includes mentorship and professional development opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily administrative tasks, payment processing, card services, ACH, wire transfers, and account maintenance.
- Review and process eligible fraud and non-fraud dispute write offs.
- Verify ACH files for accuracy and completeness.
- Process online banking returns and ACH origination exception items.
- Support outgoing wire processing and conduct account research.
- Adapt to new technologies, including artificial intelligence solutions, to support daily workflows.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with employees in writing and orally.
- A self-reliant approach and the ability to demonstrate critical thinking.
- Current enrollment in or recent studies related to Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting are preferred.
