About the role#
Creative Solutions In HealthCare is hiring a Student Nurse Aide to work at the Amarillo Center for Skilled Care. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. You will gain experience in long-term care by supporting residents and the nursing staff.
What you'll do#
- Provide personal care to residents, including grooming, bathing, and dressing, under supervision.
- Assist residents with ambulation and transfers using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
- Change bed linens and keep grooming supplies organized in resident rooms.
- Reposition residents regularly and monitor their skin integrity.
- Help the nursing team with tasks like passing water and ice, answering call lights, and organizing supplies.
- Assist with range of motion exercises and reality orientation.
- Identify and report resident conditions that need management attention.
What you'll need#
- Written proof that you completed the 16-hour ADL training from an authorized school or instructor.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to follow documentation protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.
- Reliability and consistency in attendance.
