About the role#
Landmark of Amarillo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is hiring a Student Nurse Aide to provide care for residents. This full-time position offers a chance to gain experience in long-term care while working under the supervision of nursing staff. We expect reliability and consistent attendance from all team members.
What you'll do#
- Provide personal care such as grooming, bathing, and dressing.
- Change bed linens and keep resident rooms stocked with grooming supplies.
- Help residents with ambulation and transfers using assistive devices.
- Reposition residents and monitor skin integrity.
- Assist the nursing team with tasks like making beds, passing water and ice, answering call lights, and organizing supplies.
- Lead range of motion exercises and engage in reality orientation.
- Report any changes in a resident condition to management.
What you'll need#
- Written proof of completion of 16-hour ADL training from an authorized school or instructor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-discipline, patience, and a focus on serving others.
- Ability to follow safety policies, documentation protocols, and the Patient Bill of Rights.
- Basic computer literacy.
