About the role#
This internship provides an 8-10 week development experience for college students to explore the insurance industry. You will gain insight into how different entities contribute to the organization while assessing your own interest and aptitude for a career in this field. You will work with various teammates to expand your knowledge of insurance operations.
What you'll do#
- Learn about the insurance industry workflow and the various divisions within the organization.
- Gain analytical, technical, and decision-making skills through formal and informal learning.
- Complete special projects that assist the department in its mission.
- Finish all prescribed training programs.
- Network with senior leaders, experienced teammates, and fellow interns.
- Receive regular feedback throughout the program.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain professional composure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Flexibility in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Leadership aptitude and previous work or internship experience.
- An interest in pursuing a career in insurance services.

- This role is based in Chicago, Illinois at 123 North Wacker Drive.
- The position is on-site and part-time.
- This is a paid internship.
