About the role#
This is a temporary, part-time internship within the Capital Projects department. You will work approximately 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule between 8am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. The internship begins in October 2026 and lasts for 12 to 16 weeks. This position is paid at a rate of $20 per hour.
What you'll do#
You will support the Capital Projects team with daily operations. Your tasks include updating and modifying AutoCAD drawings and taking physical measurements of campus spaces. You will also handle administrative duties such as answering phone calls and filing. This role requires traveling around campus, and you will need personal transportation during the winter months. Light lifting may be required as part of your duties.
What you'll need#
- A high school degree or GED.
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or Drafting and Design.
- At least one year of experience in architectural drafting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based software.
- A valid Michigan driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
