About the role#
CPL is hiring a Placemaking Intern to support our planning and design teams. This role offers students the chance to gain experience in architecture and urban planning through hands-on work. You will work on projects that help shape communities, from zoning regulations to public space design.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to clients in-person and over the phone.
- Draft narrative and illustrative content for various plans and reports.
- Coordinate permit applications including Land Disturbance, Plats, Zoning-Related Applications, and Fence Permits.
- Manage pre-application meetings, including reviewing submittals, taking notes, and handling follow-up correspondence.
- Manage and update department applications and forms.
- Create zoning verification letters and conduct business license reviews for zoning compliance.
- Assemble meeting minutes and summaries.
- Research planning and zoning-related matters.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a student in Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- You are motivated and curious about the industry.
- You are ready to share your ideas and work as part of a team.
- You are prepared to take on new challenges.
Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, GA.
- Terms: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
