About the role#
As an Architectural Engineering Intern at LEO A DALY, you will work on engineering design, modeling, drafting, and detailing tasks. This summer role includes a multi-week rotation through the structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines. You will work under the supervision of licensed engineers on multiple projects simultaneously.
What you'll do#
- Perform design calculations and prepare reports.
- Produce drawing sets, including plans, details, and schedules.
- Use Revit for modeling and detailing tasks.
- Coordinate designs with the broader project team.
- Assist with site investigations, observations, and construction contract administration.
- Prepare narratives, hand and computer calculations, and specification documents.
- Attend client and internal meetings.
- Support marketing and business development activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering.
- Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
- Knowledge of building systems.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to working in a multi-discipline team.
- Proficiency in Revit is preferred.
- Active involvement and leadership in campus or community extracurricular activities is preferred.
