About the role#
CORRE, INC. is hiring a civil engineering intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. You will work within the construction department to support various engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform on-site inspections for construction projects.
- Complete engineering calculations and help with project documentation.
- Use computer-aided drafting software to prepare designs and plan sheets.
- Support engineers with daily tasks across multiple disciplines.
- Assist with survey duties on construction sites and other projects.
- Work in field offices, corporate environments, and on active construction sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a civil engineering or civil technician student.
- Familiarity with State Department of Transportation and local agency procedures for construction and design.
- Experience with Microstation, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Understanding of general survey practices and equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 40 lbs.
- Physical capacity to work on construction sites in various weather conditions, including standing, walking, and climbing on uneven terrain.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
