Individual Equity Strategy Intern

About the role#

The Individual Equity Strategy Intern role is a full-time, paid summer internship running from June 2027 through August 2027. This position offers exposure to senior investment professionals and provides an opportunity to work on investment research and portfolio management within a wealth management environment. This role is on-site at our Boston, Chicago, or Midtown New York offices.

What you'll do#

• Analyze, monitor, and report on potential new investment opportunities and conduct surveillance on current portfolio holdings.
• Design and analyze various model portfolios, including risk management considerations.
• Perform individual security analysis for both fixed income and equity assets.
• Conduct due diligence, including financial modeling and the preparation of investment memorandums.
• Construct portfolios that adhere to specific strategy guidelines and parameters.
• Communicate research and strategy recommendations to advisors and clients.
• Generate research on specific sectors, industries, and companies.
• Learn to utilize market data systems such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Morningstar.
• Assist the research team with special projects as needed.

What you'll need#

• Must be a rising senior by the summer of 2027.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Political Science.
• Demonstrated coursework or experience in finance, economics, or mathematics.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, across various settings.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

• Work Modality: On-site (required 4 days per week).
