About the role#
The Individual Equity Strategy Intern position is a full-time, paid summer internship running from June 2027 through August 2027. This role offers exposure to senior investment professionals and provides hands-on experience in research, portfolio construction, and financial analysis within a wealth management environment.
What you'll do#
- Analyze, monitor, and report on potential new investment opportunities and conduct surveillance of current portfolio holdings.
- Design, analyze, and report on various model portfolios, including risk management considerations.
- Perform due diligence for investment opportunities, including financial modeling and the preparation of investment memorandums.
- Construct portfolios that adhere to specific guidelines and parameters.
- Communicate research and strategy recommendations to advisors and clients.
- Generate research on specific sectors, industries, and companies.
- Learn to use market data systems effectively, such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Morningstar.
What you'll need#
- Must be a rising senior by the summer of 2027.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to finance, economics, mathematics, business administration, statistics, computer science, data science, or political science.
- Demonstrated coursework or experience in finance, economics, or mathematics.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in both written and verbal formats.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple tasks.
- Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, or Midtown, NY.
- Employees are required to work on-site 4 days per week.
- The pay range for this role is $37.50 to $40.00 per hour.
