About the role#
The Field Operations Intern supports Superintendents and Project Managers by helping with safety program administration, quantity tracking, and schedule analysis. You will gain hands-on experience in field coordination and construction quality. This is a full-time, on-site role for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the administration of the project safety program.
- Interpret contract drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
- Prepare daily reports, conduct safety walks, and compile quantity reports.
- Update project schedules and assist with short-term planning.
- Participate in the quality assurance program by performing site inspections.
- Monitor onsite material deliveries and inventory to keep the project moving.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and maintain project logs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Basic understanding of construction scheduling and critical path method concepts.
