About the role#
The Career Development department at Concordia University-Wisconsin is looking for a Graduate Assistant to support career integration for the 2026/2027 academic year. This part-time, on-site role focuses on assisting students with vocational development, job search strategies, and career readiness. You will work as a member of the Career Services team to manage administrative tasks and special projects that support student success.
What you'll do#
- Orchestrate a network of career champions, alumni mentors, faculty collaborators, and employer partners.
- Support the development of career readiness curriculum for workshops, online modules, and embedded courses.
- Guide students in career decision-making and provide expertise on resumes, CVs, and interview skills.
- Assess student needs and refer them to appropriate campus resources when necessary.
- Document student interactions using Navigate to maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with faculty to connect students with experiential learning and integrate career readiness into coursework.
- Co-supervise student employees and provide training on office tasks.
- Maintain career platforms such as Handshake and Focus2.
- Provide logistical support for career events, including job fairs and workshops.
- Collect and analyze data regarding student retention and career outcomes.
- Provide customer service to students, families, and employers.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program at Concordia University Wisconsin.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students and maintain confidentiality.
- A professional, approachable, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to work 20 hours per week.
- Support for the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the LCMS.
