About the role#
This internship offers a 10-12 week program within our Personal Lines Underwriting Department. You will receive on-the-job training and mentorship while working on projects designed by our senior leadership team. Our goal is to provide you with the fundamentals of the insurance industry and help you prepare for a potential career with us after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Review new business, renewals, and inspections.
- Participate in large loss reviews.
- Join our Marketing team on agency visits.
- Complete detailed, industry-specific training, including AINS coursework.
- Contribute to special projects developed by Underwriting Leadership.
- Provide insights and feedback to help improve the internship experience.
- Present your work, skills, and achievements to the senior leadership team at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- A strong desire to learn.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Proven organizational and effective communication skills.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Current study focus in Business Administration, Business Management, or Risk Management.
