About the role#
Join the Commercial Lines Underwriting Department at Concord Group Insurance for an 11-week summer internship. This program provides a foundation in the insurance industry through hands-on projects, mentorship, and on-the-job training. You will gain exposure to risk assessment, agent negotiations, and underwriting best practices while preparing for a potential career in the field.
What you'll do#
- Review new business, renewals, and inspections.
- Participate in large loss reviews.
- Join the Marketing team on agency visits.
- Complete industry-specific training and AINS coursework.
- Contribute to special projects developed by Underwriting Leadership.
- Provide feedback to help improve the internship experience.
- Present your work, skills, and achievements to senior leadership at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- A strong desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proven organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Current study focus in Business Administration, Business Management, or Risk Management.
