About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in Environmental Services at St. Louis Children's Hospital. You will work alongside leadership to develop skills in healthcare support services. The role involves managing frontline team members, coordinating schedules, overseeing training, and supporting patient experience efforts. You will gain experience in a real-world setting to build a foundation for a career in business operations.
What you'll do#
- Execute operational standards and maintain facility security.
- Promote department safety and ensure a secure work environment.
- Respond to requests and concerns with urgency, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Identify facility quality assurance concerns and follow up in a timely manner.
- Coordinate staff orientation and provide ongoing training.
- Motivate associates to help them perform to their full potential.
- Bring creative ideas to the Crothall Healthcare program.
- Manage special requests or projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college or university junior or senior.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, from hourly associates to directors.
- Capability to organize tasks and set priorities in a changing environment.
- Interest in a career with Crothall Healthcare and potential interest in the Accelerated Manager Program after graduation.

- Location: Saint Louis, Missouri.

- Compensation: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
