About the role#
The Quality Engineer Intern will gain experience across three core areas: Operations Quality, Supplier Quality, and Design Assurance. You will work cross-functionally on various projects to support business goals, collaborating with Manufacturing, suppliers, and Research and Development teams.
What you'll do#
- Participate in hands-on problem solving and resolution.
- Support and own the resolution of quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Manage supplier communication regarding quality projects or issues.
- Implement process improvements under the guidance of project engineers.
- Review validation protocols, reports, and other documentation.
- Support the implementation of manufacturing or supplier changes.
- Create and maintain accurate records of inspection and test results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year or graduate degree program in Mechanical, Biomedical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year and basic engineering coursework.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to develop test protocols and synthesize data into technical reports.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, such as two-sample t-tests and tolerance limit calculations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of basic engineering principles.
- Ability to work independently and provide technical assistance on group projects.
- Capacity to translate verbal instructions into clear goals and objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, results-oriented approach.
