About the role#
The Manufacturing Engineer Co-op supports the Operations team by conducting engineering studies and validations. You will work on a variety of technologies within Interventional Urology to improve manufacturing processes. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Validate medical device manufacturing processes while following regulatory standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiency.
- Implement process improvements and conduct design of experiments (DOEs).
- Create and maintain documentation for validation protocols, reports, and lab test results.
- Perform hands-on problem solving with mechanical and chemical process control systems.
- Translate verbal instructions into clear goals and objectives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 4-year or graduate degree program for Mechanical, Biomedical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least sophomore year with basic engineering coursework finished.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to develop test protocols and write reports based on data analysis.
- Familiarity with statistical methods like t-tests and tolerance limit calculations.
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects.
