About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the aggregates and ready-mix concrete industry. You will work at aggregate production facilities and gain exposure to limestone, sand, gravel, and ready-mix operations. You will learn the foundations of industry standards for quality control, product testing, and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Assist with quality testing, data analysis, and operational support.
- Perform laboratory and field testing while developing proficiency with testing equipment.
- Apply industry testing standards, specifications, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with plant and operations teams to build problem-solving skills.
- Complete a project that provides value to the company and supports your learning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Geology, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong math and analytical skills for data collection and interpretation.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivation and a desire to take on new challenges.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
