About the role#
The Aggregate Plant Internship provides hands-on experience with plant operations, mine planning, and aggregate processing. You will work directly at our facilities to gain practical knowledge of mining equipment and material production. This is a full-time, paid position that focuses on supporting operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability through a defined project.
What you'll do#
- Spend time at aggregate facilities to learn about mining operations and material processing.
- Complete a project that supports business needs while building your technical and analytical skills.
- Collaborate with geologists and operations teams on mine planning, production tracking, and quality initiatives.
- Compile and analyze production data, prepare reports, and assist with problem-solving.
- Maintain a commitment to safety and teamwork while handling sensitive information with integrity.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, or Construction Management.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including basic math and data analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn industry software like AutoCAD and mine planning tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- A self-motivated, adaptable approach and a willingness to travel as needed.
