About the role#
This internship provides practical experience in financial reporting, accounting, and business operations. You will work directly with the finance team to support daily operations and gain exposure to the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Process invoices, expenses, and vendor payments.
- Help prepare financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in accounting systems.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records.
- Prepare documentation and supporting materials for audits.
- Analyze financial data for budgeting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with accounting staff on daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Enrollment in a relevant environmental management, sustainability, or related Bachelor’s degree program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus, as is an interest in construction, paving, or infrastructure industries.

- Location: Plattsburgh, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Full-time, rolling term.
