Software Engineer Intern (Fall / Winter 2026)

About the role#

This internship is designed for students passionate about building machine learning models and NLP products. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work on high-impact projects ranging from creating datasets and scaling API infrastructure to developing new security features. You will be treated as an integral member of the team with the autonomy to push code to production and take ownership of your work.

What you'll do#

• Ship user-facing product experiences by writing browser and server-side code.
• Build features for the API platform that directly impact users.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines, including crawlers, storage, and filters.
• Design and implement scalable services and infrastructure for machine learning development.
• Build internal tooling, such as CI/CD and developer utilities, to improve team efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation and adopt new technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary program.
• Availability for a full-time 3-6 month internship, co-op, or research term.
• Interest in AI systems and building machine learning models or NLP products.
• Experience with coding or engineering practices.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects.
• Academic background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Electrical Engineering.
