About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in safety and risk management within the agricultural sector. You will work with the safety team from May through August 2027 to support regulatory compliance and employee training efforts. This is a paid, part-time position designed to offer real-world experience and professional development.
What you'll do#
- Perform facility inspections to monitor safety issues and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with applicator training sessions.
- Create safety topics, PowerPoint presentations, and study materials for employee training.
- Help maintain regulatory plan compliance.
- Travel to various sites to assist the safety team with special projects. You can expect to spend about 60 percent of your time traveling and 40 percent in the office.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program related to the field.
- A genuine interest in agriculture and workplace safety.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivation and effective communication skills, both in person and in writing.
