About the role#
Crop Technician Interns perform diagnostic work throughout the growing season to help the team make informed, economic decisions. You will spend 75% of your time in the field and 25% on training, tours, and events. This role involves 100% travel within the territory.
What you'll do#
- Scout fields to identify weeds, insects, diseases, growth stages, stand counts, and field anomalies.
- Create scouting reports and share observations with the Ag Tech team.
- Use drones for aerial observations, data collection, and imagery.
- Collect corn and soybean tissue for testing.
- Perform soil moisture tests and install monitoring equipment.
- Collect soil nitrate samples to monitor nutrient availability.
- Organize, place, and remove field signs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, preferably in an Agriculture or Agronomy program.
- A genuine interest in the agricultural field.
- Ability to work outdoors for long periods in all weather conditions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.
- Capacity to work independently and stay self-motivated.
- Proficiency with iPads, GPS software, and field equipment.
- A valid driver license, a good driving record, and a reliable vehicle.

- Location: Bainbridge, Indiana.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a part-time, paid internship with a flexible schedule.
