About the role#
The Corporate Tax team at CME Group manages domestic and international tax matters, including research, planning, audit defense, and compliance. This year-round internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in corporate tax processes while supporting the team on various projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare corporate federal and state income tax returns.
- Gather data required for foreign informational reporting.
- Organize information for federal and state income and sales tax audits.
- Assist with general tax compliance tasks.
- Support the team with special projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Preference for students entering their Sophomore year, though Juniors with relevant coursework or experience may apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Completion of a basic college tax course is considered a plus.

- This position is based on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
