About the role#
The Clinton Policy Institute (CPI) intern supports efforts across four policy pillars: health, child safety and wellbeing, economic security, and democratic resilience and civic engagement. This role involves contributing to policy development, operational workflows, and event logistics. The position is unpaid and requires proof of academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Conduct policy research and monitor developments in focus areas.
- Draft policy memos and briefings.
- Maintain project documentation, including folders and spreadsheets, to ensure materials remain organized.
- Monitor project milestones and deliverables.
- Assist with event content, collateral refinement, and day-of logistics for in-person and virtual convenings.
- Implement operational workflows and provide general administrative support.
- Collaborate with team members to set and track progress on goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Public Health, Political Science, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Ability to draft professional policy memos and briefings.
- Strong organizational skills for document and information management.
- Prior experience supporting events.
- A proactive approach to seeking assistance and identifying opportunities to add value.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Modality: Hybrid.
- Term: Fall 2026 (suggested dates are September 9 through November 13, 2026).
- Commitment: Part-time (25 to 29 hours per week) or full-time (40 hours per week) based on academic credit requirements.
