About the role#
You will work directly with the founder at an early-stage fintech and AI company building technology-enabled investment banking services. This role involves taking high-priority projects from initial research through to execution. You will contribute to growth, fundraising, operations, and recruiting.
What you'll do#
- Identify prospective clients and partners, develop outreach approaches, and turn conversations into commercial relationships.
- Research investors, refine fundraising materials, build financial analyses, and coordinate diligence and follow-ups.
- Source and assess candidates while helping create effective operating and recruiting processes.
- Research new opportunities, address strategic questions, and execute high-priority founder-led projects.
What you'll need#
- Zero to three years of experience, including internships in investment banking, high-growth startups, management consulting, private equity, or adjacent finance fields.
- A combination of finance and startup or commercial experience.
- Experience with financial modeling, fundraising materials, business development, transactions, partnerships, or client outcomes.
- The ability to work closely with a founder or senior executive and turn open-ended problems into clear recommendations and action.
- Strong judgment, resourcefulness, commercial awareness, and discretion.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role in San Francisco, California. You must be based in San Francisco or able to work on-site.
- The internship is paid with a salary of $80,000 to $110,000 annually.
- The term is three to six months on a rolling basis.
