About the role#
Medi-Weightloss Drexel Hill is a physician-led medical weight management clinic. We are looking for an undergraduate intern to help with local marketing and business development. You will learn how the clinic operates, work alongside our staff, and execute real-world outreach projects. This is an on-site role focused on in-person relationship building and community engagement.
What you'll do#
- Build a 6 to 12 month event pipeline with at least one event per month.
- Coordinate and participate in community events.
- Contact 50 prospective local businesses, gyms, and healthcare offices to work toward 5 to 10 partnerships.
- Maintain an outreach tracker for all contacts and meetings.
- Produce 2 to 4 monthly posts to promote and recap events and partnerships.
- Speak with 8 to 12 patients about their weight-loss journeys.
- Develop a process for requesting honest Google reviews.
- Shadow clinic operations to understand the patient experience.
- Report on your progress and present a summary of results at the end of the semester.
- Represent the clinic professionally when talking to patients and local business partners.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- A social, proactive, and organized approach to your work.
- Confidence starting conversations with new people.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reliable personal transportation for clinic visits and local events.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
- The role is on-site.
- Compensation is $18 per hour for 10 to 15 hours per week.
- The term lasts for one academic semester with a rolling start.
