About the role#
CK Associates Environmental Consultants is hiring a student intern for the Water Quality Program in our Baton Rouge office. This part-time position offers experience for students pursuing degrees in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology. We offer a flexible weekly work schedule to accommodate your school commitments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of Discharge Monitoring Reports for client approval.
- Help prepare water permit applications.
- Create compliance documentation.
- Perform data analysis and manage spreadsheets.
- Handle basic report preparation.
What you'll need#
- Current college coursework in Environmental Science, Coastal Science, Toxicology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Biology.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet changing deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to complete all required safety, on-the-job training, and security requirements.
