About the role#
This 10-week summer internship in New York offers a look into the Internal Audit division at Citi. You will join a core business or global function to provide independent assessments of the firm's governance, risk management, and internal control environment. The program is designed to help you gain experience through real-world work, professional mentorship, and structured training.
What you'll do#
- Deliver independent and timely assurance to help maintain a sound control framework.
- Participate in a 3-day training program at the start of the internship in June.
- Engage with senior and junior mentors to support your professional development.
- Attend networking sessions and speaker events with senior internal audit professionals.
- Contribute to your assigned team through daily tasks and project work.
- Present your accomplishments and lessons learned to the senior internal audit management team at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- A GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.
- You must not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or in the future.
- Academic background or experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and focus on group objectives.
- A detail-oriented approach with an innovative mindset for problem-solving.
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to ask questions.
