About the role#
The Controllership group provides finance services to the bank through governance and decision support. This includes financial, management, and regulatory reporting, accounting records, tax planning, and treasury functions. As a Business Analyst, you will join the Finance process improvement program and support initiatives across Controllership, Capital Markets, and Wholesale Banking.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the development of new and existing finance initiatives.
- Assist Middle Office analysts with maintaining processes.
- Develop new reports and test new systems or databases to ensure accuracy.
- Provide support to Front Office, Risk Management, and Finance teams.
- Interact with business partners at all levels.
- Participate in team meetings and suggest improvements for existing processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in post-secondary education with plans to return to full-time studies after the term.
- Strong working knowledge of database design and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel including VBA and designing libraries.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, PHP, or Python.
- Experience with VBA, SQL, VB.net, MS Visio, HTML 5, or C# is an asset.
- Ability to solve problems, present ideas clearly, and build relationships with diverse partners.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term (January to April).
- The role is based in Toronto, Ontario.
- This position operates under a hybrid work arrangement. You must reside within Canada and work within your current jurisdiction.
