About the role#
CHS Inc. is seeking a Transportation Fleet Asset Management Intern to join our team in Inver Grove Heights. This internship provides hands-on experience in managing and optimizing the lifecycle of transportation assets. You will work with cross-functional teams to support data analysis, reporting, and strategic planning efforts that improve asset performance.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and manage transportation asset data, including fleet utilization, maintenance records, and lifecycle costs.
- Maintain and enhance asset inventories and databases.
- Collaborate with transportation operations, maintenance, and financial planning teams to identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
- Support reporting and presentation development for leadership.
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with asset management standards.
- Contribute to projects involving sustainability initiatives, technology integration, and process optimization.
- Engage with field operations teams to understand maintenance practices and team dynamics.
- Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- An interest in transportation systems and infrastructure.
