About the role#
The Student Nurse Assistant supports our nursing team by providing direct patient care. You will work alongside licensed nurses to assist with daily tasks and maintain a safe environment for our patients. This role is open to current nursing students who have completed their initial clinical rotations.
What you'll do#
- Provide hygiene care and assist patients with daily living activities like bathing, oral care, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs and blood glucose levels.
- Document patient care, intake, and output in the electronic medical record.
- Help patients move, reposition, and transfer to chairs or ambulate.
- Assist with patient safety by performing safety sitting and following suicide precaution protocols.
- Support the admission, transfer, and discharge process for patients.
- Maintain supplies and equipment in patient rooms and clinical areas.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an accredited LPN, ADN, or BSN nursing program.
- Successful completion of a medical-surgical adult patient clinical rotation or an equivalent program.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
