About the role#
Charter School Associates is seeking Social Work Interns to join our school-based team in Margate, Florida. This placement offers hands-on experience in an educational environment, supporting the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students. Interns receive weekly supervision from a licensed social worker.
What you'll do#
- Observe and participate in individual and group counseling sessions under supervision.
- Support crisis intervention efforts and help manage behavioral concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to promote student success.
- Connect students and families with community resources and services.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote mental health and inclusivity.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BSW or MSW program, or a related field.
- Strong interest in child and adolescent development, education, and equity.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Commitment to cultural competence and trauma-informed care.
