About the role#
This is a year-round internship based in Cleveland, Ohio. You will gain hands-on experience by working with engineering prints and partnering with operators to analyze manufacturing processes. The role involves supporting continuous improvement initiatives to help our production teams. This is a paid position.
What you'll do#
- Organize and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings in our document management system.
- Verify that engineering prints match current parts and manufacturing processes.
- Assist with the design and development of new parts and components.
- Support process improvement initiatives to help with efficiency, quality, and productivity.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and work well in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD and advanced Excel analyst skills are preferred.
- Exposure to Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours per week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer.
- Terms: Winter, Summer, and Fall 2027.
