About the role#
The Business Intelligence Intern will support the Revenue division by providing data-driven insights that inform strategy across ticketing, partnerships, and marketing. This role involves end-to-end analytical work, including research, data extraction, dataset management, and dashboard design. You will translate complex data into clear, actionable findings for internal stakeholders.
What you'll do#
- Support ongoing projects for Business Intelligence, Partnerships, Ticketing, Marketing, and the mobile app.
- Analyze consumer behavior, attitudes, and demographics to provide actionable business insights.
- Review and maintain existing Tableau dashboards while optimizing SQL queries.
- Organize, clean, and manage data within the CRM system.
- Participate in the full internship program, which includes workshops, speaker series, job shadowing, and a dedicated intern project.
What you'll need#
- Current student or graduate pursuing a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in the sports industry, specifically within Business Intelligence.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a proven ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Ability to work Hornets home games, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Note: Male collegiate basketball players must have exhausted their NCAA eligibility to participate.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 7, 2026, through April 23, 2027).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid at $15.00 per hour.
- Hours: Minimum of 20 and maximum of 30 hours per week.
