About the role#
Cerity Partners is seeking interns for the Summer 2027 program in our Houston office. This is a paid, full-time internship designed to provide students with direct exposure to the wealth management industry. You will work alongside our team to gain hands-on experience and build professional skills in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and participate in client presentations and assist Financial Advisors with document preparation and performance reports.
- Conduct research on stocks, bonds, and other securities using investment software.
- Use CRM, financial planning, and back-end portfolio management software.
- Participate in and present during Investment Committee and portfolio subcommittee meetings.
- Assist with portfolio optimization, rebalancing, and backtesting.
- Conduct independent research and build spreadsheets for financial planning projects.
- Collaborate with a team to complete a financial planning project.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
- A major in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Active participation in campus organizations, ideally in a leadership role, or previous professional work experience.
