About the role#
This is a paid internship for the summer of 2027. You will gain direct exposure to senior leadership and hands-on training to build your wealth management and financial planning skills. This role is based on-site in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Shadow Financial Advisors during client presentations and assist with the preparation of performance reports and financial documents.
- Conduct research on stocks, bonds, and other securities using investment software.
- Use back-end portfolio management systems to organize account linkups and perform maintenance.
- Participate in and present at Investment Committee and portfolio subcommittee meetings.
- Learn about portfolio rebalancing, optimization, and backtesting.
- Build spreadsheets for financial planning opportunities and conduct independent research.
- Collaborate with a team on a financial planning project.
- Work toward obtaining your e-Money Certification.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
- A minimum 3.2 GPA.
- A major in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Active participation in campus organizations, ideally in a leadership role, or previous professional work experience.
