About the role#
We are looking for a Software Developer Intern to support our production and non-production systems. You will assist with codebases, infrastructure development, and the completion of new system requirements through code changes and performance enhancements.
What you'll do#
- Maintain internally developed automation code and processes.
- Participate in application design and architecture.
- Ensure application functionality meets business requirements.
- Verify that all delivered code meets performance standards.
- Collaborate with data services to provide cross-system functionality.
- Use AGILE development methodology.
- Participate in requirement gathering and business process improvement.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts to communicate system changes to IT and business users.
- Execute scheduled and ad-hoc deployments.
- Maintain open communication with team members regarding best practices and new requirements.
- Ensure the confidentiality of company information.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with Ruby or Python.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails for web development.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with web-centric APIs like REST or SOAP and data integration.
- Familiarity with web development standards.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL such as PostgreSQL or MSSQL.
- Familiarity with automation and orchestration tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or Ansible.
- Familiarity with Microsoft development technologies including C# and .NET.
- Experience with git or similar source control systems.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

- This is a full-time, remote internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is paid.
