    About the role#

    CASA DE LA FAMILIA offers an internship for undergraduate students at our Santa Ana office. This position focuses on administrative support and community outreach to assist our case managers. You will work with our team to help provide mental health services to underserved populations. This is a non-paid internship requiring a commitment of at least 10 hours per week for 6 months.

    What you'll do#

    • Answer and direct phone calls while acting as a point of contact for clients.
    • Organize appointments and plan meetings, including taking detailed minutes.
    • Handle correspondence through emails, memos, letters, and forms.
    • Assist in preparing reports and updating office policies.
    • Manage office supplies and maintain contact lists.
    • Provide support before and during community mental health events.
    • Research and track local mental health events.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or Business Administration.
    • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
    • Previous experience as an administrative assistant.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Knowledge of office management systems and equipment.
    • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task effectively.
