    About the role#

    This internship provides clinical training and supervision for graduate students pursuing a master's degree in social work or marriage and family therapy. You will work within an interdisciplinary team at Casa Counseling/Consejeria, a division of Casa de la Familia. The program focuses on evidence-based practices and provides the foundation for your future professional work in mental health. Interns participate in monthly in-house training sessions and presentations from community partners, including law enforcement and attorneys.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
    • Conduct intake assessments and manage a caseload of 12 clients.
    • Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.
    • Assess clinical crises and apply risk management techniques.
    • Perform case management and coordinate services with law enforcement.
    • Develop community supports and provide psychoeducation.
    • Participate in weekly individual and group supervision.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an accredited professional graduate school.
    • Status as an MFT trainee or MSW student intern.
    • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
