About the role#
CASA DE LA FAMILIA is seeking an undergraduate student to complete internship hours at our Santa Ana office. You will provide administrative support to our case managers while gaining exposure to the operations of a non-profit organization focused on mental health. This is an unpaid position requiring a commitment of 6 months and at least 10 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
- Schedule appointments and plan meetings, including taking detailed minutes.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence such as emails, memos, letters, and forms.
- Assist with the preparation of regular reports and maintain office policies.
- Manage office supplies, including researching new suppliers and deals.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients.
- Provide support during community mental health events and maintain a list of upcoming events.
- Maintain contact lists and provide general administrative assistance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Psychology program seeking internship hours.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of office equipment like printers and fax machines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
