About the role#
The Engineering Intern supports Power Systems Sales personnel with vendor transactions, parts orders, and shipping. You will assist with switchgear and panel retrofit projects while coordinating the paperwork needed to facilitate sales. This is a paid, part-time, on-site role based in Richmond, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Assist with switchgear and panel retrofit projects.
- Coordinate and process sales paperwork.
- Handle parts orders and shipping tasks.
- Support Power Systems Sales personnel with vendor transactions.

What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a 4-year engineering degree program.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow them during assembly.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for reading, modifying, and preparing drawings.
- Experience with Adobe, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Ability to use the internet for research.
- Skills to organize, control, and archive documentation.
- Self-starter mindset capable of working with limited supervision.
- Customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift or move up to 70 pounds and perform tasks like reaching, climbing, or kneeling.
